

Each day 42 Frecciarossa trains will link the Two Towers to Rome
From December 13th, it will take just 37 minutes to travel from the centre of Bologna to the centre of Florence and vice versa. Every day, 42 Red Arrow trains will run between Bologna and Rome; 26 of these trains will begin or terminate in Naples. More than 26,000 seats available to travel between Bologna and Florence in 37 minutes, between Bologna and Rome in 2 hours 22 minutes (2 hours 3 minutes on the Frecciarossathat begins its journey in Turin and terminates at Florence Campo di Marte) and between Bologna and Naples in 3 hours 47 minutes. In addition, there will be 28Frecciargentotrains, leaving from Venice and Verona but running the same routes between Bologna-Florence and Bologna-Rome. In total there will be 70 trains (4 more than today) running between Bologna and Rome, which will reduce the current travel time by between 28 and 47 minutes.
Two new Frecciarossatrains, leaving in the early morning from Bologna, will allow commuters to travel daily to Milan. A total of 32 hourly connections, with an additional 12 Frecciarossa trains beginning/terminating in Turin and stopping in Milan. These trains will shorten the journey between Turin and Bologna, covering the distance between the two cities in around two hours, shaving around 38 minutes off the current travel time.
The journey between Bologna and Venice will also be shortened - only 1 hour 23 minutes (16 minutes less than today) - with 11 pairs of Frecciargentotrains which, thanks to their particular technical characteristics, will extend the benefits of High Speed rail to those cities not yet linked to the new line. Finally, the recently completed line redoubling between Bologna and Verona will allow three pairs of Frecciargentotrains to travel between the two cities in just 49 minutes.
